Smoking areas at Scotland’s airports

Scotland is home to several airports that provide domestic and international flight connections.

On this website you can find all smoking areas in airports, including designated smoking areas and available facilities. We understand the frustration of going through security only to find that there are no smoking areas anywhere and in some cases e-cigarettes may not be allowed.

This service is for all smokers who want to enjoy a cigarette before or after long flights.

Scotland’s Smoking Law

Scotland has implemented strict smoking laws to protect public health and create smoke-free environments.

In Scotland, smoking is banned in virtually all enclosed public places. This includes workplaces, public transportation, bars, restaurants, shopping centers, and other indoor areas accessible to the public. The ban also extends to certain outdoor areas, such as hospital grounds and school grounds.

Some establishments may have designated outdoor smoking areas, often located away from entrances and well-ventilated. However, these areas must comply with specific criteria outlined in the legislation to ensure the protection of non-smokers from secondhand smoke.

In line with the smoking ban, the use of electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) is also prohibited in enclosed public places. E-cigarettes are treated similarly to traditional cigarettes under the legislation.
