Smoking in Algeria’s Airports

Algeria has several airports, ranging from small regional airports to larger international hubs.

On this website you can find all smoking areas in airports, including designated smoking areas and available facilities. We understand the frustration of going through security only to find that there are no smoking areas anywhere and in some cases e-cigarettes may not be allowed.

This service is for all smokers who want to enjoy a cigarette before or after long flights.

Algeria’s Smoking Law

The smoking law in Algeria is regulated by “Law No. 15-05 of July 25, 2015 relating to the fight against tobacco and its harmful effects.” This law aims to protect public health by limiting exposure to tobacco smoke and reducing tobacco use.

Under this law, smoking is prohibited in all enclosed public places, including workplaces, restaurants, bars, cafes, and public transport. The law also prohibits smoking in outdoor public places where people gather, such as stadiums, parks, and playgrounds. Additionally, smoking is prohibited within 5 meters of entrances, exits, and air vents of enclosed public places.

The law requires that all tobacco products sold in Algeria carry warning labels with health information and graphics about the harmful effects of tobacco use. Advertising and promotion of tobacco products are also prohibited.

Violators of the smoking ban can be fined, and repeated violations can lead to increased fines or imprisonment. It’s worth noting that smoking laws and regulations can change over time, so it’s always best to check the current laws and regulations before traveling to Algeria or any other destination.
