Smoking in Belgium’s airports

Belgium has several airports, ranging from small regional airports to larger international hubs.

On this website you can find all smoking areas in airports, including designated smoking areas and available facilities. We understand the frustration of going through security only to find that there are no smoking areas anywhere and in some cases e-cigarettes may not be allowed.

This service is for all smokers who want to enjoy a cigarette before or after long flights.

Belgium’s Smoking law

The smoking laws in Belgium prohibit smoking in all enclosed public spaces, including bars, restaurants, and workplaces. This ban also extends to outdoor areas where people are likely to congregate, such as playgrounds and sports facilities. There are no designated smoking rooms allowed.

In addition to the ban on smoking in public spaces, there are also restrictions on advertising and promotion of tobacco products. It is illegal to sell tobacco products to anyone under the age of 18, and smoking is also prohibited in private vehicles if a passenger is under the age of 18.

There are some exceptions to the smoking ban in Belgium. For example, in some psychiatric institutions, designated smoking rooms may be allowed, but only under strict conditions.

The smoking laws in Belgium are quite strict and are enforced rigorously.
