Romania is home to several airports that serve as important transportation hubs for domestic and international travel.

Romania’s Smoking Law
Smoking is generally prohibited in enclosed public spaces, including airports, train stations, bus stations, restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping centers, and other public buildings. This ban applies to both employees and customers or visitors.
Designated Smoking Areas: The law allows for the creation of designated smoking areas in certain establishments, provided they meet specific criteria. These areas must be physically separated and have proper ventilation systems to prevent the spread of smoke to non-smoking areas. However, it’s important to note that these designated smoking areas may not be available in all public spaces and establishments.
While smoking is generally permitted in outdoor areas, some restrictions apply. It is prohibited to smoke within five meters of entrances or exits of public buildings, including airports. Additionally, smoking is not allowed in outdoor areas designated as children’s playgrounds.
The law requires the display of prominent health warnings and “No Smoking” signs in enclosed public spaces, including airports. These signs inform individuals about the smoking restrictions and the consequences of non-compliance.
